probably because the 9800gtx is just a die shrink of the 8800gts. However the 8800gts has been discontinued so the 98800gtx+ is the one to get.

lol jack and vaukas are dumbasses. the 8800 gts (g92) was released in october of last year (i think). you can get a 8800gts 512 for 85 bucks on newegg. that is the ultimate steal!!

Think of it like this, this graphics card is the same thing as the 9800 GTX and the GTS 250. I believe that it will run all of the new games.

Its best if you just go with a GTX 260 guys, much more power. And maybe do SLi with a second GTX 260 later on which will absolutely kill the 8800’s.2x 8800’s are still decent but one GTX 260 is still better for most games as SLi generally doesn’t scale very well and the 8800’s are starting to show there age.

Take 2 8800 GTS over one GTX 260. I have a SLI set up. Then I got PNY GTX 260 Core 216. So the fact is that 2 of this in SLI are beating GTX 260 Core 216 by 25-40% performance ratio. But here he states it has 112 shaders, but it actually has 128. Regards!

@trp09876 from what ive researched the GTS is better for gaming. as for the MB doest really matter not alot of game use alot of VRAM but crysis does so if u want to play crysis the more mb the better. but its nice to get the highest MB u can afford for future games.
