I’m a bit miffed personally, because Matthew Bellamy has so much talent as a songwriter (Bedroom Acoustics is a good example of his potential), but he just continues to write conventionally structured space rock songs that get old rather quickly. They’re too loud and obnoxious for me.

I have used MP3ify too, it reminds of the old Napster actually but even better, just search for artists or songs, it previews youtube videos and lets you convert to mp3 and download the mp3 right there, its easy and fast…I would hurry though before everyone finds out about it and it gets bogged down

You obviously know nothing about cd mastering and compression. With the retail version I bought, the audio constantly clips and even cuts out at times. Your FLAC version may somehow differ. it’s just to change the definition, but it’s not at one standard rate. i.e. if you computer can’t handle 1080p [which i've seen some videos have] you can set it to a lower resolution to get a better quality and higher framerate.

@Hanz780 I’ve listened to Kid A and whilst it may be good it is overrated. The Unforgettable Fire is simply fantastic. The actual song The Unforgettable Fire is immense as is A Sort Of Homecoming. Also U2 performing badly live is still ten times better than Radiohead performing on a good day. There is a massive gulf in the two bands on stage – and on stage is where it shows up most.

I have seen U2 live and it was pretty cool. I have all of their 80′s albums and a couple of their 90′s, which is still a lot. They are a very good band and Unforgettable Fire in particular is amazing.However, Radiohead I still consider to be one step ahead. U2 will sound better live because they are an arena band at heart. Radiohead is all about the album experience. And while U2 experimented at times, it never worked as well as Kid A or Amnesiac. “Bad” for the win though.

Hey you wouldn’t happen to have any clue of info. of an electronic song that has a female singer and the lyrics are about about alcohol,sobriety, and just life. Personally I believe that Coldplay is better for people who embrace only what is in front of them. For people in search of something a little deeper than a title or some lyrics, Radiohead is the right band. I’m sure you probably fall into the first category so more power to you. The problem is that anno 2010 the mainstream is not interested in this kind of music anymore. theyre totally different genres dude. Radiohead has been around since the early 90s and are one of the only bands to show a huge range of differing music ability from one album to the next (although kid a and amneisac are very much the same sound). Reading their lyrics/listening to their music shows how they’ve evolved from angry young men to older more jaded and passionate fathers/husbands/partners. There is a Radiohead song for every emotion i feel.

@rockbox122 i like what you said about holding a mic up to emotions and them sounding like radiohead songs, and i agree. but i beg to differ on the whole “radiohead is hard to understand because the music is complex” philosophy. radiohead’s appeal is the emotional response they create, not its supposed “complexity”. case in point: Street Spirit – only 4 chords, very simple from technical viewpoint. but if the song resonates with you emotionally, you simply cannot deny its genius.

This is the genius of Radiohead, the amount of variety they have in their back catalog is staggering. Songs like Electioneering, Just, Lewis(Mistreated), Paranoid Android, Maquiladora, 2+2=5, The Trickster, My Iron Lung, Trans-Atlantic Draw, and Blowout are faster rockier and punkier than anything The Libertines has ever done.

Overated, melodic and easy to listen to but way overated by all the upper-middle arty types who think radiohead are experimental.Check pink floyd, it has all been done before, four chords then layers upon layers over the top.
