Men if you made a bad conection in the PSU the video card may not work. I will look the whole video cos i will buy 1 new card soon and i never conected one before to a +12V line. I mean i wonna know if i need 2 conector go to 6 pins or if 1 only one is need it to run.

Comment from ieatskotchtape

I’ve got a 2.93 GHz Pentium 4 processor and a PCI slot for the card. I heard all i need to do is get 1-2 GB RAM and my comp could support a 9800gtx. Is dat true? Also, is the 9800 really a good buy, or should i look for a ATI equivilant, b/c i only want the 9800 to play Diablo 3 + Starcraft 2 and maybe Crysis, is it really the right buy?

Comment from ieatskotchtape
Time: May 25, 2009, 3:58 pm

which of those (other then the GTX 260) is the best?

Comment from HansareSuperstare
Time: May 25, 2009, 11:39 pm

you shoud have about 4 G RAM on your computer but you can get that later, and dond’t by ATI GPUS ati sucks ass..

Comment from gschreiber94
Time: May 26, 2009, 6:02 pm

umm the 4870 but it is more expensive than the GTX 260, id say go with a readeon HD 4770 for 99$ or if you want a little bit faster get a radeon hd 4850 for around $150

Comment from gschreiber94

A friend is sending me an old BFG 8800 GT to replace my burnt out 7900 GS I am sure he said he lost the disc. would I be able to get the drivers from the BFG site instead of the disc? or does the disc have important info on it?

Comment from DelayedStone
Time: July 12, 2009, 9:10 am

Nope but id recomend finding out what version 8800GT you have including the model updating this bios to a new version if possible or if it doesnt need updating dont worry aubot then install the nvidia display drivers from the nvidia site use the drivers for what OS you have hope this helps you should be fine you dont need the cd at all

Comment from Doomtrain79
Time: July 12, 2009, 4:04 pm

cool thnx. I’m getting so tired of my burnt out card I can’t see shit in game LOL. was glad to hear I didn’t need the disc.

Comment from Loste

why don’t you just get the drivers from the nvidia home page? It probably has newer and better drivers than the ones on the disc….
