This is a proven direct x 10 320 streaming processor chip / card low energy consumption (75 watts max) from ATI. There were a few years before all the bugs to the surface and be treated so it is very likely to install the latest drivers from ATI’s website. I bought 2 of these and they work great! They entered a desktop a6857c HP. The original is now the spare wheel and that it was running for over a month and has even survived a case opened 3 foot drops on a computer hard surface carpet. I first installed the drivers using the VGA connection so there is no conflict with my onboard sound card. I then swithced over the HDMI connection and the transaction went smoothly. Knowing what I know now that I downloaded the drivers and CCC first, uninstalled my integrated accelerated graphics drivers, put the card and installed the drivers and CCC I had already downloaded. In this way, the card will not spin the wheels waiting an inordinate amount of time for its pilots. I could have on the stock 300 watt power supply with this card, but installed a Corsair 400 watt psu anyway. These are cards dream with smart energy consumption and without external power. This means that my computer is that the drawing 66.3 watts as I type this, but when I play Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 2008, energy consumption goes up to 120 Watts. It is similar to Deer Drive. You do not get that with the old style plug in an external graphics cards. They cause your computer to use power more important all the time! This card has something like 300 5 star reviews on Newegg if it’s the closest thing to a sure bet you’ll get for a graphics card. When you try to print the rebate form ITS sure you match the UPC code of the model since it seems that each model has more than one UPC code and if you’re wrong form will not be printed but will not tell you why. I thought something was wrong with my printer until I figured it out. You will have an option for a discount of 1 week, but it will cost you 10%. Discount twenty dollars or more are issued on debit cards, but the rebate is a $ 10 check issue and 8-10 weeks if you do not have the option instantaneous. Ah yes the fan on this thing requires a location adjacent open because it depletes the back of your case. For all the core gamers, but difficult with gaming platforms (usually high power), this card is the perfect solution. It rates 5.7 on the Windows Vista Experience Index.

I bought this card based on the other 5 star recommendations and cost. I installed a new PC I built that has a 3.0-K A74ML FOXCONN motherboard and Windows 7 64-bit for the OS. The motherboard has integrated ATI Radeon ® ™ 2100 graphics and 5.1 channel HD Audio. I thought that since this card also has Radeon graphics and ATI drivers that my chances of having everything work together have been good enough. First, Windows 7 is not listed as a supported OS on the combo system requirements. However, there is a Windows 7 64-bit driver is compatible Universal support ATI Catalyst website (published 13/12/2010). I installed this driver. The graphics seem to work well, although I’m not a major player. “Then why did you buy this card”, you ask? Because I wanted an HDMI output that did not come with the motherboard (it was a requirement after the fact). And this brings me to my problem. Although the graphics works very well the sound does not pass through the HDMI port. There are all sorts of people with this problem with the ATI related. I tried all the so-called “fixed” and nothing worked so far. So I really could have done what I have with a DVI to HDMI converter. But I must say that the Windows partition experience for graphics and games on the PC is increased from 3.7 to 3.4 to 6.7 for both. So if that’s what you need, it seems like a good card, but if you want sound via the HDMI port to look elsewhere.
Update – I found the driver for this to work, including audio via HDMI. Therefore, I change my rating review. I could go to 4 stars because it is a desire to find the right driver. However, I am rating this 5 stars because now it is working, it works great! BTW – if you are in the same situation I used the driver is on the site ATI Radeon (AMD) called “AMD Catalyst ™ Accelerated Parallel Processing (APP) Technology Edition” issued 13/12/2010 with a size of 88.9 MB

Be sure to check around the card slot mother you install it in and ensure there is no potential impediments such as earplugs or other slots. The plastic takes a lot of cooling its surroundings making the following location and other ports more accessible.
