im about to buy a 9800GTX is this a good card to play newer games, I do not really want a card that will be updated here in a few months, but I do not want to spend over $ 200 for a map or, if this is a good card?

Is it works with the GeForce 9800 GTX + as well? because I have a SLI system, but it is overheating too fast while playing games like Left 4 Dead, even I managed to change my Cooler Master Cosmos case with 5 fans more.
