class=”h3color tiny”> This review is from: HIS Radeon 1 GB HD 5450 Silence (64 bit) DDR3 HDMI DL-DVI (HDCP) VGA PCI Express 2.1 x16 Video Card Retail (RoHS) H545H1G (Electronics) I bought this card because I wanted to connect a dual core PC to my TV and turn it into a media center. He had to decode Blu-Ray and shut up. Until then, I was using a PS3 and was very happy with the release Blu-Ray, but I needed access to Hulu, without the help of software like PlayOn. I was skeptical that I could get the same quality from a computer, mostly because I tried to play blue-ray disk using the built-in graphics card and the quality was much lower than the PS3. I was so happy to see that the output of the card is as good as the Playstation 3. Using the HDMI connection to my receiver and then to my Sony Bravia 52-inch HDTV I got a 7.1 and a stunning 1080p resolution. Without any special configuration, it baffled video and audio to HDMI.

best of all, my computer continues to be silent, my wife finds it very to use Windows 7 Media Center, you can watch Hulu without bypass.

CONS: Not great for gaming high end.

PROS: Great video output. Redirect audio via HDMI. Silent. Cool. 1 GB of DDR3 memory. Low power and low profile. Very good price.

BOTTOM LINE: This is an ideal card for everyday computing and a media center, but if you want a card for video games, you’d better spend more money and get another.

I put this in a computer with an AMD Athlon X4 processors with 6 GB of RAM. My monitor is actually a Vizio 1080p 120Hz TV. This machine works Fallout 3 and Oblivion perfectly with no lag at the highest settings. I am able to play games up to 1920×1080 and the games are always perfect, no lag. It is the only PC games I played on it so if that can give anyone who wants to buy some idea of what it can handle in this type of system. The only important thing, I think people should know is that if you put it in an office and use the HDMI, it can return the image scale of about 15%. I always wondered about it because even connect my laptop to my TV I’ve always had a black box around the outside. To fix this simply go to the Catalyst Control Center and set your scale to 0 and the black border will disappear. I’m not sure what area it is in but as long as you remember the scaling of, you can Google and find out how to define it. This was the only problem I had, to do is to go full screen. Otherwise it runs very quiet and easy to use and install. I could not find much on this specific card before I bought it, so if someone wants to know something else, just ask in the comments! :)

This replaced a HD 4850 in my HTPC so I can enjoy Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD bitstream, and it works perfectly. The fact that it requires no fan is another bonus. I get a crisp picture on my 1080p 52 inch Samsung LCD. I’m not using this PC for games, so it is perfect for my needs – but could be a factor for others.
