# 894 – HIS HD 3870 512MB GDDR4 Video Card Video Review
“The new line of Radeon HD 3800 series video cards are currently available in two models, the 3870 and 3850 These are next-generation products, but the 3870 has faster memory and core speeds and comes with 512 MB of GDDR4 memory instead. 256 MB of GDDR3 memory on the 3850 model. Based on the speed of this product is 775MHz and the 512MB 256bit GDDR4 memory is 2.25GHz DDR. It comes with 320 stream processing units for vertex, pixel and geometry data, 16 texture units, 16 raster operators, the pixel fill rate is approx. 12400 MPixel / s and the memory bandwidth is 72 GB / s. @ Golemmmora You should not get both. You should get a map of the 5xxx series yet. They are more progressive! I would suggest a 5770 or something like that. If you have more money to spend, get the 5830 because it has a better memory.

@ Fransi I do not know much about this kind of stuf because I was a player console (no more btw), but on the internet I saw the ATI Radeon HD 3870 512MB ATI Radeon HD 4870 512 MB my question was which is better because of the name I thought the 4870 was better (you know, because it is a higher number), but it is also less expensive than the 3870 so that n is not just because its best when it has to be more expensive

$ 56, but I’ve seen some that have sold more than $ 70 in the last days, while two sold for a few dollars less than what I bought. This is a great card and is perfect for casual gaming and HTPC. The fan is the 92mm version and is silent.

not by much gives the 3DMark06 4850 6200 3700 and 3870 to launch two corssfire for 30 dollars more but it would be less like 3DMark 9000
