lol iam gonna buy 2 HD6950 and i have a 1280×1024 monitor so iam sticking a V8 engine and putting it on a bycicle atleast than i have lots of fps for a few while

I think this is a really simple and quick guide, I feel more could have been said on the matter of details as well. What if I play Metro, but I’m not worried about details, that factors in as well. Just like buying a 300 dollar card to only do 1080p, because FPS and details are more important.

Sure that 300 dollar card could do more than 1080p, but I want that extra horsepower to go towards other graphical details.

All of those things factor in. But all in all not a bad quick guide.

hey i have a 21″ 1640×1040 and i want to play AION MMORPG game with MAX settings without any lag anywhere i am . im planing to buy the ASUS HD 6950 Direct CU II 2 GB so will that card satisfies me fully ?? please i need SOMEONE to CHECK out AION and Tell me
i would like to know if there is ANY CHEAPER card which can do this work ;p

If someone would be so kind to answer my question i currently have a GTX 275 OC from Geforce. I would like to try a Radeon card but im not use to how they label their cards and honestly have no clue which one would be a big upgrade for me since i read that they have 5 series cards that are faster than some 6 series.

Any info would be appreciated.

Well,after seeing this i have a few questions,i have a samsung monitor with a max resolution of 1360×768 and im planing to buy an Ati HD 5770,is that vga too much for my monitor?im planing to play resident evil 5,gta 4,battlefield 2,dead space,etc

Can be enough a HD 5670 instead of HD 5770?

hey man you can easily upscale resolution of your monitor i have hp 22w monitor with 1680×1050 native ress,and in nvidia control panel i create costom ressolutions thet i need, i can do 2560×1600 and even up to 3000×2000 ressolution,and it works for allmost all new games on the market today, if you don”t know how to do it ask me before i gone.

@neoplasmax After i present mine im modding my case, im taking the HDD case out for more airflow through the rad, and doing push pull, hoping it’ll help. after that SLI haha

@DynamicJDUB99 Yeah friend of mine has me all jealous. He went all EK water cooling which makes a huge difference. His computer runs cool 24/7 even though he drives it hard and it looks sweet. But that’s out of my budget at the moment and so much power I really don’t need anyway. It’s like driving a Ferrari on a windy country road. But I do need a little upgrade based on the games I’m seeing on the horizon.

@neoplasmax Sweet, i7 875k oc’d to 3.7Ghz, but like you i need more airflow through my rad to go any higher, msi mobo, 4gb mushkin 2000mhz, win 7 64, ive got a x25-m 80gb ssd from intel, its about 150 bucks and it’s wellll worth it, and 250gb wd caviar

@DynamicJDUB99 It’s older set up. Q9550 oc’d to 3.4GHz currently (not enough cooling to push further safely), Asus mobo, 4MB OCZ Fatality, Win64, running WD raptors atm for main drive, and just standar seagate drives for bulk. Thinking of going solid state when they drop in price and get a generation better. Right now, I think a graphics card could be upgrade enough till I get a new mobo/processor upgrade probably end of this year or next year.
