“The power cord was unplugged from the video card” what should I do?
Question by Aaron : “The power cord was unplugged from the video card” what should I do
Today I was on my computer and I was cleaning out old files and junk. I have been using Norton Utilities and cleaning tips. After I cleaned and repaired and cleaned the regestry hard drives, I went to the regestry defrag. He finished it and something told me to restart, so I did. The computer restarted normally until what seemed an almost constant when the alarm off and an error message saying “power cord was unplugged from the video card” for printing and red flashes. What should I do? My video card is an ATI Radeon HD3650 DDR2. I’m not positive about the brand PSU, but I think it is 550Watts. And BTW, the extra cable is connected, as has just been installed a little over a year from now and there is no CO. Is there a fix for this? Best answer:

Maybe your drivers faded, you should not really be touching the registry. Have you tried to go into the BIOS and load default settings, and have you tried safe mode? Make sure the RAM and video card, and electrical connections within the computer are properly seated in their heads, so that connections can be dismissed as cause.Mais other, then reset the BIOS in default mode and safe, that’s all I can suggérer.L warning sound position, are: 1 or 2 short beeps – usually no problems were trouvés3 long beeps – an error clavier8 short beeps – memory problems Adapter vidéo9 short beeps – an issue BIOS1 long and 3 short beeps – Error mémoireSi you have more questions or comments about my answer, please feel free to contact me and I will be happy to répondre.Bonne journéeKen

Unplug the power cable 6 pin PCI-E from the card and reconnect it. Shut down the computer, unplug it from the wall and wait one minute before plugging it back inside and redémarrer.Il could be that the connector on the card was just loose. But it is possible that your diet is wrong and is no longer deliver power to the card. It is also possible your card is failing. Hopefully this is not a hardware problem seriously and disconnecting / reconnecting the correct. If either the card or PSU has failed, you should replace the failed component.
