Gorgal Question : I just bought a computer but it has a “dedicated video card” how does it work? please help.?
So I just bought a new computer a “HP Pavilion Elite e9220y” but the guy at Best Buy told me that you could share with my ram “dedicated video card” I read on my model and he told me that I can store up to 3327MB max, but the default is 512, but I have no idea how to share RAM with the “dedicated video card” as it says it has 8GB of RAM, but Max 16GB. So if someone could please help me it would be great, thanks! Best answer:

when you hav a graphix card it will run all your Graphix for you to leave your RAM to make all the other stuff. I’m sure that’s what the guy who sold you the computer meant. Think of it like water. no dedicated video card all the water has to pass through a pipe, making the amount of water at a fairly low. with dedicated video memory, is like another pipe was added to allow more water to flow through at a time. If your computer comes with a video card that you will not need to set up something.
