class=”h3color tiny”> This review is from: ASUS GeForce GT430 a ENGT430/DI/1GD3 GB DDR3 Video Card (LP) (Electronics) I built my system a week ago and took on 24 / 7. I’m not a gamer so I did not put a heavy load on my system but so far this video card has been extremely good. I have not had any problems with my system at all. The map was easy to install and gets a good grade on the Windows Experience Index. If you are looking for a good video card to a system every day with some games, this card is perfect!

Cons -
I bought this card to replace a card that was old. When I placed in the system, I noticed the doctor intelligent app that came with it showed the card runs at 52 degrees Celsius is very hot because I had no load on it. I used the card for a day watching the temperature and he was jumping around between 50 and 75 degrees Celsius. Suddenly the temperature rose to just over 80 degrees Celsius before the card closed and the screen went black. I had to stop the system by holding the power button in.
I took the side panel and put it on my tech bench and started the machine back. The Smart Doctor was still indicating that it was hot about 60 degrees Celsius and it was jumping around. I placed my fingers on the radiator to see if it was hot and it was cool to the touch. It seems that it gives incorrect data for Smart Doctor. After two days of playing with it, I turned the system and it ran less than 35 degrees Celsius with no load and about 45 degrees Celsius with 28% on the GPU. Its been stable for about 10 hours.
performance -
I’m not really a video game junky, but I do not want to mess around with Eve-online and plays four characters at once in 1080p on a Sharp 40 “LCD TV with HDMI. So I ‘m happy with the card if it remains stable.
other thoughts -
I’m not sure what caused the instability, but I’ll keep an eye on it and write another review later if I have more problems with it.

class=”h3color tiny”> This review is from: ASUS GeForce GT430 1GB DDR3 Video Card ENGT430/DI/1GD3 (LP) (Electronics) Cons: Cheap, a reliable chipset. I had the card over a week now and I am very satisfied with his performance. I feel this is one of the best HTPC cards out there. My system is a mini-ITX with a Core i5. IEM My Windows 7 was 5.5 and after installing the Asus WEI my card went to 6.7. But the overall performance of movies and videos is far superior to most of the graphics board. It does not require a power supply with most major HTPC have no. I use a 300W PS and I read that some use 250W with no problems. It uses about 70 watts, but slowed maxed (have not done so) im thinking maybe 150 watts working in most Computers HTPC. It has some overclocking capabilities, but have not tried yet. He and all connections (DVI, HDMI and VGA) includes low-profile brackets. It supports dual monitor and DX11, PhysX, and 3D not the media. It will make some games, but the settings should be lowered a lot. With two monitors running I can watch two movies in 1080p at the same time without any lag.
Disadvantages: The heatsink is huge for a star out of that. It will take nearly two slots to make sure you have the room for this card. It will be hot without proper ventilation. I had a slot for me and this card butted up against the case and caused excessive heat. I had to do was cut a hole in the case of the fan of the video card, then use a fan cover on it (it looks factory made). So now, instead of 56C to 29C slowed down in and under moderate use, it goes to 36C.
For the reimbursement of money and included (in my time of purchase) its worth it. The performance value is excellent and you can not go wrong using it in a PC HTPC / media or just a video taken on board. Also go to the NVIDIA Web site and download the latest drivers and do not use on each CD. Other programs on the CD can be used, but it’s always good to visit Asus occasionally to see if new versions.
