I picked this card up on a whim at a brick-n-mortar store for a mere 40 bux (I think my eyes popped out of my head when I saw the price). Surprisingly outperformed the 7800GT it replaced.
Temps were a bit high so I forced rivatuner to 100% and – the noise! Whiny fan at full speed! Long story short, I ripped the VF700 off the 7800GT and after a bit of dremeling, it fit like a champ. inaudible at the low 5v speed and much cooler.
Could not be happier.
cheers

@Agust1337 You should be able to run that game. I have a worse card and get 30 fps. Make sure you overclock and set settings on low you can’t really tell the difference that game looks good no matter what settings.

A couple of questions.
In terms of resolution support, will it work better on lower resolutions? My monitor only supports 1680 x 1600 (or something of that sort) resolution. If I was to get this card, turn all settings on and put it to 1280 x 1024 it WOULD run better than at the native resolution of the monitor, do I have that correct?
How do you know what CPUs are supported with this card? Is there a list? How does this run on new games such as Black Ops and such?

I have a 220-240W Lite-On PSU that pumps 14 amps, and I was wondering if this, or any ATI 5xxx Series would work in it? I need something a little better than my 512MB iGPU

@airsoftpr7 diamond and sapphire are different companies. it depends on the card what differs. mobility isnt a company, its the line of graphics cards designed for notebooks.

@listojay if it has a PCI-E x16 slot and a 400W PSU or better, yes. but the p4 stinks, c2d, c2q or pentium dualcore are a must have. for a P4 system, an HD3650 is good enough.
