class=”h3color tiny”> This review is from: XFX AMD Radeon HD 6870 900M 1GB DDR5 DUAL DVI Dual HDMI MINIDP video card PCI-E (HD687AZHFC) (Personal Computers) Just played 3 hours of StarCraft 2 on high settings with no stuttering for . Installation went smoothly. I did not use the driver CD, just downloaded the latest drivers from AMD. After that I ran on pins 2 and Far Cry 2 Just Cause on the parameters above, the lowest loss of images was in the mid 30s. I even ran into the subway and the counter 2033 DX11 framerate never dipped below 40fps. Bought this card to upgrade from to a HD5750. After a night of testing I am very satisfied. My system is running a Core 2 Quad with 4GB of RAM and Windows 7 64bit, not the state of the art, but sufficient for most games on the market. The only complaint I had is no cables or adapters in the box, but I had some remains of previous cards so I was not stuck. Fan seems calm under load, but sounded like an aircraft carrier until drivers have been installed. Bad Company 2 has even run smoothly in DX11 mode above. I will update this review if I notice something wrong, but as of now, I would say that this card is worth every penny.

The video card it came with was the Radeon HD6450, AMD is not powerful enough some of the latest games. I wanted to upgrade the video with a budget of under $ 200. After some research, I determined the XFX Radeon HD6870 900Mhz was the best deal for the money, not to mention He came recommended on Tom Best Graphics Cards in September 2011 the list. There was some concern regarding the area of the case XPS and power requirements. The XPS8300 comes with a 460W power supply, while the minimum requirement on the HD6870 (according to AMD) is 500W.
I am pleased to announce the XFX Radeon HD6870 graphics card paired perfectly with the XPS 8300 with no problem. The case offers plenty of space for this card, while the PSU seems to be providing a lot of juice. So far, I support two 20 “LCD, but I’m planning on adding a third. The bonus is a free download of Dirt 3, compliments of AMD! They do not require verification through. Jpg or. Pdf of the offer of free game .. . Details on their website.)
I have yet to test the potential of this video card, as I’m waiting for Battlefield 3 and Elder Scrolls Skyrim to be released.
